VAMquest.com: The Premier Morgan Dollar and Peace Dollar Auction.

We’re now celebrating the fact that we’ve successfully completed a year and a half of VAMquest Auctions, with eighteen monthly auctions under our belt. Yes, it’s been an amazing run with sales of over $175,000. (That’s a lot of VAMs!) But now, we feel it’s time to take VAMquest to the "next step," and to accomplish this, we’re scheduling a three month sabbatical to work on the programming aspects of the website and to generate some exciting new plans for the future.

• VAM Marketplace — Over the last eighteen months, VAMquest has developed into a premier VAM-only auction site, thanks to the support of our members and bidders. But based on a number of inquiries that we’ve received, it’s clear that focusing solely on the top-end of the market, and accepting only PCGS, NGC and ANACS coins, is quite limiting. Indeed, what about the rest of the market? In response, we’re planning to put together something called the "VAM Marketplace." This will provide a way to acquire and sell coins in ICG, PCI, SEGS, etc. holders, as well as raw coins.
   
• VAMquest Q&A — We’re talking about providing a Question and Answer section on our home page, which at a later date could develop into full streaming video responses.
   
• Website Security — We realize the need to continually grapple with security. It’s a big issue for all internet websites, and we take security quite seriously. Up to this point our cutting-edge programming expertise has been quite successful, but now is not the time for complacency. Our website has been tested over and over again, and we’ve never suffered a breach.

All in all, we have a lot to work on to keep VAMquest.com at the forefront of the hobby, and we’re allowing ourselves a three-month window to accomplish our objectives. So, please put on your calendar that the next VAMquest Auction will open on October 1, 2008, and close as usual on the 15th of the month. And as always, thanks for your past participation in our auctions, and we certainly appreciate your continued enthusiasm and encouragement. Now, we hope you’ll visit us on October 1st.
